Vegan No Bake Banana Bread Energy Bites

Hi, beautiful friends! Hope you’re all having a lovely day so far. It’s about to get even more lovely, because today we’re transforming the already wonderful banana bread into sweet, poppable, no bake bites.

I’ve made a few other flavors of these sweet, addictive little bites, but they usually include nut butter (you guys love these peanut butter gems!). This banana bread version is a great lower fat option if you’re looking for that, and they hold together and are just as satisfying as the others.

Ingredients for vegan no bake banana bread energy bites

  • Rolled oats: oats give the energy bites a chewy texture and help hold them together, while also providing some healthy whole grains.
  • Ground flaxseed: flax provides healthy omega-3 fats and a slightly nutty flavor.
  • Banana: banana is the only sweetener in this recipe, and you want the flavor to be strong. Make sure the bananas you use are very ripe and fragrant so that you get the most banana flavor + sweetness.
  • Cinnamon: cinnamon is such a good pair both with oats and banana.

Tips for making vegan no bake banana bread energy bites

  • Make sure to blend the dry ingredients first. Everything will eventually go into the food processor, but it’s important to start with the oats and cinnamon to make sure the oats get totally blended.
  • Use your hands to test the texture after blending. This recipe is pretty flexible, and depending on your bananas, you may need to adjust the other ingredients slightly to get the right texture. If they seem too crumbly to roll into balls, add a little more banana, and if they seem too wet, add more oats.
Vegan No Bake Banana Bread Energy Bites

These vegan no bake banana bread energy bites are really dense and chewy, which makes them a great satisfying snack. They did not last long around our house, and I definitely had something to do with that. They’re great for a quick midday snack, as a topping for smoothie bowls, or with your morning coffee or tea! Made with simple, wholesome ingredients, this is a snack you can feel great about.

Xo,

Sara

    1. Hi Megan, thank you so much for the feedback, I’m so happy you like them! I don’t calculate calories for my recipes, but you could enter the recipe info (depending on how big of a batch you’re making) into a tracking site or app if you’d like. Hope that helps!
