Vegan nut free chocolate granola is crunchy, sweet, and full of deep chocolate flavor! Made with just 4 healthy ingredients, it’s totally gluten free, oil free, and nut free.
Serious question: does anybody actually dislike granola? If you know someone like this, cut them out of your life immediately. Nobody needs anti-granola vibes. For real though, if granola haters actually do exist, I’m going to guess they’d change their tune after a bowl of this vegan nut free chocolate granola. It’s crunchy, sweet, and a little too addictive. Sooo satisfying whether for a meal by itself, or if you’re sneaking a few too many handfuls for a quick snack.
Plus…chocolate. Do I even need to say anything else?
Most granolas are super addictive and tasty on their own, but I love granola for the awesome versatility. My favorite way is honestly enjoying it by itself with some almond or pea milk like cereal, but my husband loves it on top of a big smoothie bowl for great crunchy texture. Whatever way you choose to enjoy it, this vegan nut free chocolate granola is bound to be a new favorite.
Have you tried my original nut free granola recipe yet? I love that recipe because it’s so sweet, crunchy, and it couldn’t be easier to make with just 3 healthy ingredients. I also made a video to walk you through the simple steps to bake a batch!
This vegan nut free chocolate granola is almost exactly the same as that nut free granola, with the addition of dark, unsweetened cocoa powder for rich chocolate flavor. Just as easy and quick to throw together, but you get the wonderful deep, dark chocolate flavor. And trust me, you’ll be upset when it’s gone. Do yourself a favor and make a double batch, I promise you won’t regret it!
Ingredients for vegan nut free chocolate granola
- Rolled oats: I use old fashioned, rolled oats for the best texture and healthy whole grains.
- Buckwheat groats: buckwheat can be tricky to find at the grocery store, but I love this brand. It’s super nutrient-dense and SO crunchy.
- Cocoa powder: cocoa gives the granola rich chocolate flavor.
- Date syrup: date syrup helps the granola stick together into great clusters, and sweetens it naturally.
- Vegan chocolate chips: I like PASCHA unsweetened chips or Lily’s stevia-sweetened chips, but use whatever vegan chocolate chips you like.
Tips for making vegan nut free chocolate granola
- Let the granola sit out after baking. After baking, let the granola sit out for a couple hours at room temperature. This is when it gets super crunchy!
- Add some chocolate chips after baking and cooling. Mix in the chocolate chips once the granola is totally cool. Doing this when it’s too warm will melt the chocolate, which you don’t want!
Being the chocoholic that I am, it came as no surprised that I love this version even more than the original. It’s seriously SO good. I wish I could send you all a batch to prove it, but like, you can handle mixing 4 ingredients, so just make it yourself and thank me later!
Eat it straight up like cereal or use it to top your creamy smoothie bowls or nice creams, or heck eat it straight out of the container. Cause you can never go wrong with granola!
