- Ground flaxseed: flax provides super healthy omega-3 fats and helps hold this oatmeal together.
- Banana: make sure the banana is super ripe for optimal sweetness and flavor, as it’s the only sweetener in this recipe.
- Nondairy milk: you’ll use a bit of milk to bring the oatmeal batter together before it goes into the oven. I use unsweetened almond milk for neutral flavor, but any nondairy milk should work.
- Vegan chocolate chips: I like to use naturally sweetened chips like Lakanto or Lily’s but use whatever vegan chocolate chips you like.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
- 1/2 cup ripe banana, mashed
- 1/4 cup nondairy milk – I used unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tbsp vegan chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- In an oven safe bowl, mix the oats and flax.
- Add the mashed banana, nondairy milk and chocolate chips and mix until everything is incorporated.
- Bake the oats for 20 minutes.
- Once they've cooled, top with whatever you like and enjoy.
