Vegan Nut Free Chocolate Granola

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup buckwheat groats
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup date syrup - I used the Date Lady brand
  • 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a large bowl, mix the oats, buckwheat groats, and cocoa powder.
  • Add the date syrup and mix until totally combined.
  • Pour the granola onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and spread into an even layer.
  • Bake the granola for about 20 minutes, then let it cool on the counter for about 2 hour sbefore breaking adding chocolate chips if desired, then breaking into chunks and storing in a loosely covered container at room temperature.
